Thursday
I had a great time making the video using Explain Everything. Definitely something I will be using to do short videos to explain visually. Of course, my favorite find of the day was being able to open a PPT with animations using CloudOn. This will be one of my favorite app's Friday because of that ability.

Wednesday
I really liked the discussions about Twitter and flipped learning. I have always thought of Twitter as a social networking app but now see that I would use it for my teaching even though I have no interest in it for personal use. In the next two days I need to get more familiar with it, find more people I want to follow, and start tweeting with my class this fall! While Jon and Bree have been telling me how much they use it, I still didn't really think I wanted to use it. After talking more about it and hearing Jason talk about how he uses it I can see the value in it. This will likely be how I post my videos and other information for my classes rather than email.
While I really like the idea of flipping the classroom, I am still concerned about being able to address all the content I have in a science class. A 5-10 minute video may be helpful, but I still feel like my students need some structured notes as this is often the first course they take that they really have to read and take notes for. I'm still thinking about how I will address these issues.

Tuesday
Again, I found a few new app's that I will be able to use in my teaching. I liked having the time this afternoon to work on our projects. Really enjoyed Rob McEntarffer and hated to have to leave his presentation when I did. Was looking forward to hearing about Socrative. I am trying to decide between Socrative and Infuse Learning for my class this fall and hope it will work with 80+ students trying to connect to WiFi at one time!

Monday
It can be overwhelming to start looking for app's that will work well for you. It's great to share information with one another and app's that have been useful for other educators. It's also fun to see how other people create and organize - gives me lots of new ideas and ways of looking at things. I am looking forward to spending more time with Explain Everything and a few of the video producing app's that we learned today. I especially like the Memo app that will convert text to type; Touchcast; Flipboard for organizing things and a few of the others that we were introduced to. I didn't know how to do a screenshot, so this was great too.
I am hoping to learn which video-producing app will work best for my teaching, and specific app's I can use in my teaching for anatomy and physiology. I want sites or app's that students can use in lecture and lab to access videos and pictures, such as 3-D Skeleton and ECG's. I also just want to learn to use all of the shortcuts that are possible on iPad that I don't know about yet, such as the screenshot.
